If you type <memo> in the tag field, you get a [...] button and you can enter more data.
This data will go into the notes field.

Thank you, is there a good book that describes all these features in EA. The Enterprise Architect Compendium is not really motivating.

Thanks again!! Really.

Now I tried to add a tag "systemIdea" to a new block and entered <memo> as Tag Value.

Changing the tagged value note, didn t change anything.

There is stille written in the block:

systemIdea = <memo>

Did I forget to enable something?

You didn't forget anything. Memo fields are not shown in a diagram.

Hello Geert,
there is this <<Objective>> Block in the Symod Profile from LIEBERLIEBER. If I type <memo> to the tag "text", the content of memo is visible in the block.

Why is this not possible for my previous example? Hope you can guide me here again.

Thank you Geert,

how can I learn more about these Shape Scripts? Where is the difference between a Package <<profile>> and a MDG Technologie ?

An MDG bundles one or more profiles. It also can carry some EA wizardry (like toolboxes, patterns, etc.)

That's a log of questions  ;D

Shapescripts: https://www.sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/15.1/modeling/shape_editor_2.html
MDG Technologies: https://www.sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/15.1/modeling/mdg_technologies.html
UML Profiles: https://www.sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/15.1/modeling/umlprofiles_2.html

An UML profile is a model that defines stereotypes.
A stereotype is an extension to the standard UML model. It can define additional properties (that materialize as tagged values), but it can also define a different visualization.

The visualisation of a stereotyped on a diagram is controlled by the shapescript.

The MDG Technology is nothing more then an xml file that packages all the UML profiles, toolboxes, diagram, searches, templates, etc.... to make all this available to an EA client.

It works because it's an extension of a SysML requirement and/or on a SysML diagram. (Sorry, can't remember exactly)
