Project-level Deffects and Issues disappeared

Hello,

I am struggling with EA 14 project maintenance tools: I have a small local .eapx file project consisting of a single package (let's call it P), and during the work on this package I used the (as I understand it) project-wide tools for change management (i.e. Construct / Change Management / Defects | Issues) to note things that need further clarification or that still need to be done.

Then I probably did something, or tricked EA into doing something ... I cannot remember what it was, but suddenly both my lists containing Defects and Issues are displayed as empty. But I did not delete anything (at least, I am not aware of explicitly deleting anything) and if I export the project as XMI, all the Defects are present in the exported XML (but not the Issues), and if I view the .eapx file in MS Access viewer, I can see that all Issues are still part of t_issues table and all the Defects are still present in t_objectproblems table and reference the package P as an owner of the defect.

Can someone suggest how to get the Issues and Defects displayed again? Or at least how to prevent this thing from happening again?

Have you tried a project integrity check?

That is the first step when dealing with things like this.

Dear Geert,

I haven't, I ran it now and it says everything is okay.

The funny thing is that I am keeping older files with the model and it seems that the list of existing Issues / Defect suddenly became empty in all the archived versions as well. Strange.

I wanted to play with a copy of an archived file so I did "Save as..." and got the following error:

DAO.Workspace [3146]
ODBC - unsuccessful call (this message is in Czech, as my Windows 10 is Czech)

So it seems that there is something broken in my system, I am going to investigate further and possibly reinstall.

Anyway, I will be grateful for any further ideas in case that a clean install of EA will not help ...

You might contact Sparx support via mail. Formerly they responded quickly, but my last request took one month or so (until I got the expected answer "is it like it is").
