v15.2 - How to unhide shape label?
« on: February 19, 2021, 04:33:20 pm »
I managed to (accidentally) hide shape Label on one of my diagrams.  There doesn't seem to be a way to get it back!  Am I missing something?

TIA,
Paolo

EAUI (I think I stumbled over that too). Remove one element and bring it back. That makes EA render the connectors freshly (with labels).

Just to be clear, I'm talking about an element shape Label, not a connector, but I think the same will apply.  Unfortunately it's a host for significant visual embedding to to recreate the rendering will take some "futzing about".

Oh, I was talking about connector labels. I guess Appearance/Show Label would reveal element labels.

No such option on the selected vertex in v15.2
Did it get "lost" along the way?

Well, I'm using 13.5. Still for good reasons?

q.

P.S. I just launched 15.2 and it's there. Was testing with a Port. Maybe shape script labels are different?

P.P.S. Nope. With a shape label it's also ok. Maybe some sleep needed?

Solved why the option wasn't available (and no sleep needed  ;)).  The label wasn't hidden (so no option to restore), but it wasn't visible!  It was "miles away" under some other shapes in a very complex diagram.

How it got there when hid the label when it was centre-top of the main shape, is a mystery.
