v15.2 - What does the "Body" property do for Text vertices?

We've some issues with Text vertices.  We dragged another from the toolbox and were intrigued to see a "Body" property in the Properties window.
Typing text into that property does nothing (as it's rejected).  There also seems to be no relationship to the Notes field.  So what is it for?
