_MeaningForwards/Backwards for standard connectors

Is it somehow possible to define the above for standard connecors? I can add a metarelationship but that only offers the connector name. I would like to define "Nesting" vs. "Nested in" to appear in the QL. Any magic to achieve that?

No, the metarelationships allow you to define the context those relationships are valid. They don't allow customization of the labels used in the quicklinker.
