I've added the stereotype of my custom connector in the middlebottomlabel but it is displayed regardless of the "Show Stereotype Labels" setting in the diagram properties for Connectors. How do I test for the "Show Stereotype Labels" setting so that I can suppress the label when unselected?

I read through your previous post in detail and the (limited) amount of documentation - As far as I can make out StereotypeHidden only applies to elements and not connectors?

You can hide the stereo on connectors by adding a shape middletop/bottomlabel (not sure which it was, just try). Then decide upon the diagram setting as described. Just reading that in a haste :-/
