In previous versions, you could quickly get the "schmick" diagram layout by "nudging" the end-points of the line.  Doesn't seem to work AT ALL in v16β!  it's a REAL Pain!  Even holus-bolus moves of Direct Line Style lines don't work.

Anyone else seeing this?

Sorry Paolo, I'm not sure what you mean exactly by "schmick" or "nudging"

Can you explain in more detail what exactly I should be looking for?

Hi Geert,
"Schmick" is "Aussie - informal" and means "smart or stylish".

Nudging means applying "a light touch or push."

Under v15, when the direct style line was close to 90° it would automatically "line-up"  if it didn't, you could "give it a nudge" in the right direction and then EA would do the rest.  Under v16β, it doesn't do anything like this.  In fact, if you nudge it, it may go somewhere else!

Makes sense now, thanks.

I'll see if I notice the same behavior.

I just played with it a bit, but I don't see a difference between v16 and v15

Hello Paolo,

The 'Auto Tidy' option might be disabled on the version 16. (in the 'Behaviour' group of the Preference dialog)

Preference are stored separetely between 32bit (e.g. v15.2) and 64bit.

HTH,

Preferences are stored separately between 32bit (e.g. v15.2) and 64bit.

HTH,
Thanks, Takeshi-san.

But that was the first thing I checked.  Also, I learned to my cost, previously, about the settings being different between 32-bit and 64-bit versions.  :o
