Document Generation in EA 15.2: missing diagram padding
« on: April 13, 2022, 09:56:25 pm »
In EA 15.2 when generating word files from diagrams using the build in generator, the diagrams (with to be displayed frames) have zero padding to the right. Even right-most labels are sometimes cut off. When doing CTRL-C in EA and CTRL-V in Word, the expected padding is present in the diagram. I already tried to setup page border without success. I also know that I generated the same diagram (maybe with an older EA version) some time ago, and it had padding.

Is there a way to adjust the padding of diagrams in document generation? Or is this a bug?

Okay, thank you! Good to know. Just wanted to get some kind of a confirmation from the crowd. I'll report a bug using the link.

Its a feature, apply padding through the use of styles.
I have enough problems with diagrams without unwanted white space being applied to them out of my control.

I do not get the point how to add padding with "styles". Those in EA "Layout > Styles" are only capable of adding color and borders.

Nevertheless, I think this is now solved (for me) on EA 16.0 Build 1605. From the changelog:

Document generation using metafiles with diagram frames will now correctly add padding between the diagram and frame
