Composite elements and HTML report
« on: February 20, 2013, 01:10:36 pm »
Hi,

My situation is that we have many composite elements (i.e. elements having child diagram so that when people click on them they will go to the child diagram). If users use EA, they can see the properties window by right-clicking the element and select Properties... However, for people who access the website, they can't navigate to the Properties page of these composite elements (i.e. they can only click on the element and it go straight to the child diagram). Is there any way for the users viewing the website can choose between going to the Properties page and goging to the child diagram?

Many thanks,
Hieu Phan.

No. The html for the image is generated automatically by sparx and there is no associated template. Shame as i'd like to add a tooltip with the notes for when you hover over...perhaps a feature request...

No, you can't choose from the parent whether to navigate to the child diagram or properties.

However, as you've probably found out by now, once the child diagram is displayed, clicking on the same element again (assuming it is on the diagram) will show the properties.

We use this feature to good effect all the time.  I think it's quite a good solution.

Thanks Nick,

I think it's a good work around too.

Cheers,
Hieu.
