SysML Participant Property Missing Compartments
« on: June 24, 2022, 12:27:15 am »
I'm decomposing various interfaces using block definition diagrams containing association blocks between main system components, then internal block diagrams to add further detail. However, when I create the ibd and synchronize structural components or manually drop in the participant properties created under the association blocks, the <<participant>> blocks don't appear to have any sort of shapescript structure. This is making it difficult to show internal structure for connector detail.

The SysML spec doesn't go into much detail, but looking at Friedenthal (figure 7.15 on page 131), the <<participant>> blocks should have the usual SysML block compartments, including the name compartment and a structure compartment for showing internal structure.

Am I missing something for making the built-in participantProperty block behave? Is this an oversight? Or is this normal and I need to extend a custom stereotype to accomplish this?

We're running EA version 15.2.
