Duration in BPMN 2.0 diagrams
« on: August 08, 2022, 09:30:45 pm »
Hi

have any of you any good ideas for how to add Duration on BPMN 2.0 diagrams? Not for use in simulations but for documentation purposes. I would like use 'out of the box' BPMN 2.0 if possible, e.g. I would like to avoid custom tagged values and the like.

I have tried grouping activities within Boundaries and use the Boundary name for the duration, but I think it adds to much clutter to the diagrams.

Tagged values are the extension mechanism for adding additional information to existing types. Using a tag is the best thing you can do.

Thanks Eve.

Just needed to confirm that I hadn't missed anything clever in Spare BPMP 2.0 implementation.

:) No. I’m not that clever. Autocorrect seems to be more clever than I am.
