EA 16.5 sequence diagram cannot jump from message properties to class to create

In EA 16.5 when I create a message in sequence diagram and I double click it to show properties, the "Operations" button next to the Message box is grayed out.  I can see the existing operations of the class, but to create a new one I need to navigate from participant object to the parent class and then add the operation to the class, then go back to the sequence diagram.  Am I doing something wrong?  Why is the Operations button grayed out?  Thanks!

Hmm. I think I ran into this too and seem to remember it had been different in former EA versions (berore 13.5 or so). It's probably one of Sparx's genius optimaizations :-/

So the Opeations button allows me to see (not create) existing operations only, so when there are no operations in the parent class then it's grayed out in the sequence diagram.
Uuuhhh... Eve?  Can we have the Operations buttons take us to the create or view or change operation in properties window?  Pretty please?

Yes. I'm pretty sure that this was possible in earlier versions. Wonder why nobody else stumbled over it? (I for myself got to the point that sending a report would be just a waste of time.)

Enterprise Architect 16.0 - Build 1605

Send it in to support. I don't remember what the old behavior was or why (if) it was changed.
