Default element and diagram names in an MDG

Not sure if I have asked this before, when developing an MDG is there are a way to change the default names used for elements and diagrams?

All diagrams are named by default using the name of the package. All elements based on a class are by default named Class1, Class2 and so on.

You can't change the default diagram name.

The default element name is the name of the metatype property you define your stereotype.
So it then becomes "myMetatype1", "MyMetatype2", etc..

Thanks Geert, I'll put a feature request regarding the diagrams.

With regards to element names, I am assuming that you are referring to the Metatype property under General Properties when using the Profile Helper. Is this correct?

Currently, we do not use this property. Can you or anybody think of any gotchas if we started using this property?

Yes indeed, no gotchas that I know of.

You need this property filled in if you want the icon to work.
