v16 - Why are Recent and Pinned lists so functionally different?

Since the introduction of the Recent and Pinned lists on the Start Page, I've been both intrigued and annoyed at how they are functionally different!  AFAIK this is the ONLY application where this is the case!  On one you can edit the connection string on the other you can't on one the file extension is visible, on the other, it is not etc.  Surely the "pattern" / "meme" is that they are conceptually the same, except one is your "keep list" (Pinned) and the other an MRU (Most recently used) list (Recents).


Please rectify!
