Allocating actions to blocks (SySML & EA16)
« on: January 12, 2023, 02:04:37 am »
Hello,

per the SySML standard, in an activity diagram, when an action is placed in a partition (swimlane), and the partition is assigned to a block with stereotype <<allocate>>, then an "allocation" relationship should get automatically generated between the action and the block. You should be able to see this allocation relationship on other diagrams that include the block and the action (ex: a block diagram with both elements on the diagram).

Somehow, EA16 is not creating this allocation relationship. Is there a certain setting that I need to have turned on? Is this a deficiency of EA16 with SySML?

All the posts that I have seen in this forum are from older EA versions and say that EA doesn't have that feature. I am wondering if this got addressed in EA16.

Thank you for your help
cheers

I guess it does not create a relation since EA prefers nesting over relations. You might send a bug report. (I'm no SysML expert...)
