SQL Server + PCS + Windows Authentication error
« on: March 01, 2023, 03:21:28 am »
Hello,

I'm trying to set up access to an SQL Server EA DB from the Pro Cloud Server from different servers on the same network.
The DB authentication cannot use SQL built-in account (company policy) so a dedicated Windows account has been created. It has been granted the appropriate SQL Server user rights (db_datareader, db_datawriter).
When I attempt to add the DB via the PCS Configuration Client (Add Db Manager), I select OLE DB provider from SQL Server.
The Windows NT integrated security works with the current session, however I need to provide the dedicated Windows account. If I use the "use a specific user name and password" option, it doesn't work because it related to an SQL Authentication.

The only solution I found is to use the dedicated windows account for this SQL Server DB to start the PCS service and configure it via the application.
Is there a way to force the details of the alternate account ?
