Author Topic: Wait timeout error from PCS v5.1-123 (64bit) using XMI import (native)  (Read 25380 times)

We have installed ProLaborate and PCS using a SQL repository in Azure cloud and is now using as test environment.

I did an XML export – native on several packages.

I did an XML import of each XML file.

Sparx EA version v15.2.1559.
PCS version v5.1.123.

Gets wait timeout error from PCS in step "resolving diagrams referred by connectors". Needed to shut down Sparx EA client since it "loops".

Noticed that this issue does not seem to be fixed yet but what data was not imported due to the time out error?

To Sparxsystems: I have more information about this issue in word document. Also, if you need I can provide you with XMI files that failed to import. Some of them are quite small actually.

You need to make an official bug report to Sparx, since they do not monitor this forun for bugs and enhancement requests.

Also, have you tried to change the PCS timeout value? I had similar issues in EA 15 where exports got timeouts using PCS but not when using a database connection.

No, I have not tried to change the PCS timeout. Thank you for the proposal.

Have seen other comments in this forum regarding PCS timeout. They decided to temporarily use a database connection.

Hi all,

1. I reported the bug to Sparxsystems. They requested me to raise the timeout to 300 in PCS.
2. I tried to import after raising the timeout to 300. Still gets a timeout message.

No luck so far.

I will try using a database connection.
