Adding a Tag to multiple elements at the same time
« on: February 26, 2024, 08:39:36 pm »
I think I got a weird bug in version 16.1.
I cannot give multiple selected elements (of the same type) the same Tag.
Only one of the selected elements gets the new tag
Neither Add Tagged Value nor Ctrl+Shift+T works for that.
It is kinda tedious to give every element individually the tag.
And I can't be bothered to write a script for that.

Anyone got an Idea?

It seems that neither the "Add Tagged Value" option nor the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+T is working for this purpose. It can definitely be tedious to manually assign tags to each element individually, and writing a script may not be a feasible solution for you.

csv export/import would sort this out for you within 5 minutes.

On the 'Select Element Type' dialog, click on the 'Element Type' drop-down arrow and select the new element type from the list. Click on the OK button. The target element is transformed into the required type.

I think I reported that as a bug more than a year ago.
It doesn't look like it has been fixed in the meantime.
