All EA tables in the SOURCE repository are missing

We are using a local .qea file. Now we get an error while opening the file: 'All EA tables in the SOURCE repository are missing, please confirm it is an EA repository [...]'

What could be the course and, more important, how to resolve this,

The file might have gotten corrupted.

You might need to switch to your backup.
