EA connection to TFS - cannot make it work
« on: November 06, 2013, 09:18:30 pm »
Hi everyone,

We investigate how TFS could work with EA on work items synchronization. I am new to TFS and I am unable to activate functions related to Team Foundation Server.

My current configuration consists of two trial versions of Enterprise Architect version 10.0.1009 and MDG Integration for Visual Studio (beta). I use Visual Studio Premium 2012 version 11.0.60610.01 and TFS.

On VS side I managed to create a VS project, to attach a EA project, however when I want to synchronize Work ITems I get EA Work Items view empty with Connect option active. when I press it, it does not do anything! I cannot connect manually...

When I call any TFS related functions from the EA Project Browser I get such an error message:
"TFS not connected - You must be connected to TFS before using this function".

On EA side I do not see any VS extension functions to set up a connection on that side. I run out of ideas how to solve this problem. Perhaps you could help me?
Thank you!
