Add folders to existing toolbox
« on: December 02, 2013, 07:50:17 pm »
Hi,

I am creating a toolbox that uses the UPDM Plugin as my foundational notation. I was able to create several tools on this notation.

When I open a UPDM diagram, the appropriate UPDM toolbox is displayed for the selected diagram. I want to display my created toolbox at the top or bottom of the UPDM toolbox. How can I achieve this?

It should be possible if one can add a toolbox to the UML Class toolbox, only to be displayed once a UML Class diagram is created.

Thank you,
Minna

Usually a toolbox is per diagram. I only had created it for diagrams defined in my MDG, not an existing one. Maybe you cab play with the diagram name and try to specify the FQN of the target UPDM diagram.

Without making any changes to your toolbox, select it in the toolbox, right click on any page and select 'Pin in Toolbox'. That will now be displayed under the relevant toolbox for the current diagram. (And it persists after an EA restart.)

If you want to provide that functionality to your users, the toolbox can be marked as common and will then be visible in the same way if a user marks your technology as Active. (See the MDG technologies window)
