EA and Borland suite
« on: July 21, 2004, 10:58:23 pm »
Hi,

I have been following the discussion about Tool Evaluation and Integration. We recently had a presentation by Borland (Caliber RM for Requirements (Integrated with Test Director), Together(integrated with VS.NET),  OptimizeIt and StarTeam(for SCM).

Based on my experience and based on the forums, it seems some Requirements Management aspects are not handled very well in EA.

My question is

1) I would like to continue using EA instead of Together because of its excellent features and low price(We would need > 50 licenses). Has anybody used EA with tools from Borland (Caliber RM and StarTeam etc). Does the approach work for large teams? Or would it make more sense to stay with one vendor (the Borland suite / EA) across the lifecycle instead of integrating tools from different vendors ?

Thanks in Advance
