Change Diagram Representation Style
« on: February 27, 2014, 03:19:18 am »
Hello everyone!

I was wondering if it's possible to create an option to change the representation of a diagram to a custom style. Something like what happens when you go to Diagram Properties->Diagram and select the "Hand Drawn" or "Whiteboard Mode".

Thanks in advance!

We've done something like that in our Custom MDG where depending upon the diagram stereotype we represent elements as Archimate or some appropriate graphic (aimed at executives). The shapescript for each element checks the stereotype of the diagram and then either draws up the archimate shape or some graphic.
Happy to help

Shape script is more or less the only way for users to do things like that. The diagram renderer is not open else for any advanced things. The only alternative is to create your own window and have your own rendering. Most likely not worth while.
