ODM #3: Use of OWL toolbox a wise choice?
« on: October 17, 2014, 01:42:23 am »
Dear all,

being big fans of EA as a powerful UML tool, we are considering the use of EA as an OWL modeling tool as well. Working with EA-diagrams is much quicker than with more text/dialog based tools like, say, Protegé.

Would that be a wise choice? Documentation about MDG technology ODM is sparse; will this technology be kept alive (maintained, updated)? By whom?

Thank you
Michael

Hmmm... it's been almost a month and no reply.  I am not on this forum much.  Do representatives from Sparx participate in this?  I too have the same question as to how much RDF/OWL support Sparx will continue with.  I tried importing a very simple RDF/XML file and not much happened... just a package was created but nothing else.  Indeed there doesn't seem to be much documentation.

Primarily, this is a user forum.

Sparxians do participate, but only a handful, and only on particular topics.

But I guess the OP's question can only be answered by a friendly Sparxian.

I don't know whose area of responsibility this is, but if you send in a support request, they will know the right person to pass your enquiry on to.
