Tracking Resources for SysML Blocks

Dear all,

I'm currently trying to use EA to aid project management in a rather large project based on a SysML model. When assigning resources to a block I hit a limit (which I believe is not related to SysML only): I can not assign multiple tasks to the same resource/role combination. While I think this may make sense in some projects this is definitely not the case for this one. I'd like to assign different tasks needed to complete the implementation of a block to the same resource/role (e.g. Rick the FW engineer) and track each task in the Gantt View.
Is there a way to do that without breaking down the block into functional blocks that in turn are allocated to the toplevel block?

The combination of resource/role/object is what determines uniqueness. The only way to do this would be to provide more descriptive roles (so Rick may design, build and install the one component) for each task. Which has the advantage of being more useful in the gantt view.

I guessed so - is there alternatively a way I can add non-object-related tasks/milestones to the gantt?

I think it's only resource allocations that show in the gantt.

How about creating nested/linked task elements?

That perhaps would be an option. Anyhow, I would start having to maintain Resources in multiple blocks rather than - what would seem to me more convenient - to assign multiple tasks in the Resources Tab of the Project Management Window.

For the time being I started to extend the list of Roles to preserve uniqueness in the resources tab.
