List Override
« on: July 01, 2015, 08:53:52 pm »
OK so the 'list override' mechanism in the template designer seems to be the most user-unfriendly bit of design ever. Does anyone know how this works, or how to delete 'list overrides'?

there appear to be some in my template, I can't work out what they apply to, or how to delete them

The help on this topic is non-existent or not very helpful

All I know is that you have to have the same override for all your styles, or it won't work.
I think a new one gets created every time you change the style of a list.

Often the best thing to do is to try and get it working properly on one template and then base the others on this one.

Using stylesheets and the option "update style" might also work.
