Automated document generation
« on: September 03, 2015, 06:28:50 am »
We want to be able to generate HTML versions of our models each Friday.  Right now when I do it, I have to baby sit it as each large slice of the model is generated.  We've divided our models up based on TOGAF structure, so a large slice is defined as "The business domain" which is contained under a single package.  It currently takes me in excess of 6 hours to generate all of what needs to be generated.

Is there any way to have EA automatically generate these documents so I don't need to baby sit it and kick of each slice one by one?

I remember there were rather recent threads talking about this. Please try a search (to get used to it  ;)) with the Search button top left. Extend for ALL. And don't be too frustrated. If you're unlucky with that come back.

I searched for Automated, Generate, Documentation, and HTML and read through the results.  I don't see the posting you're talking about.  Is there some other keyword I could search on?

Try 'publish html' and go back at least a year.  I found the below which might help you out.

I knew someone would do the work ;)

At least you've learned that searching this forum can be quite a pain...
