images in shape scripts
« on: December 03, 2015, 10:04:28 am »
Hi

I have created several images in PNG, WMF and EMF formats and loaded them into the image viewer. If I reference them in a shape script, they all have a background colour even though the original images have a transparent background.
If I reference the registered image by manually setting an elements alternative image, it happily honours the transparent background.

Why does it work manually but not via shape scripts?

Probably because it's EA. Start a search on "transparent" or "transparency" on the forum. You will find quite some threads.

Yes, I read most of them.
They are for older versions and imply transparency doesn't work at all.

I am using Version 12.15.

Transparency is clearly supported, just shape scripts do something odd.

Bob,

If I were you I would send a bug report to Sparx.
They usually respond pretty quickly to reports like that.
