Export/import packages
« on: December 10, 2004, 08:06:17 am »
I'm testing how best to organise our models so that versioning provides useful granularity of use cases. I've grouped use cases into a number of packages and have a separate package for the Actors. In the uc diagrams the actors can be displayed but they are not phyisically held within the same package as the use cases.

When I export a package and then import that package into a new project, the relationships to actors no longer exist - those links are now lost.

I've tested this in Rose (I know, wash my mouth out...) and the actor is brought over.

Does anybody know a way of doing this in EA? Oh, the Actors are grouped outside the UC packages to avoid duplication and offers a central package to which any EA user can go to and find appropriate actor - it already exists in our Rose (whoops again) models in this structure.

Many thanks for any help.
