EA + UML + VAP = would be great!
« on: January 04, 2005, 11:22:44 am »
EWITA - I do a lot of this for my clients that require Architecture modeling and development. For some time now I've been using EA with what I have learned over the past 4 years with Bredemeyers Architecting Process (VAP) and Methodology.

UML 2.0 and other additions to EA help to really make Architecture-based modeling very real. In the past two engagements I have done a lot of "AS-IS" modeling so that folks can really get an accurate picture of what they are dealing with.

I have had to incorporate PMO, Change Control, SDLC and SOA process models into the high level models so that consistent abstracted views exist with the basic under pending of the overall modeling approach and architecture design.

VAP, EA and UML don't smoothly match-up but it is close enough to get the job done. Do you think that there is a place for VAP within EA?
