DataTypes & Domains
« on: April 26, 2005, 10:04:35 pm »
As with the Enumeration question in another post, shouldn't DataTypes be available as available elements on the model?

I'd like DataTypes to be available in the Logical View as classifiers with no attribute compartment, but with a constraint compartment.  That way, one could set up hierarchies of DataTypes, with the more specialised having "tighter" constraints. :)

While we're at it, the ability to formally define Domains (each DataType could have a Domain which determines (some of) the constraints on the DataType )would be REALLY NEAT! 8)

... Therefore, aim for consistency; in the expectation of achieving correctness....
