UML Profile containing objects

I am trying to define a UML Profile containing objects with a fixed Instance Classifier (so that designers can just drop an object of the correct type onto a diagram then just fill in the object name). So far, I have been unable to construct a profile to do this (I have tried the obvious approaches but can't get the icons for these objects to appear in the profile when I import it). Any ideas?

What kind of stereotypes do you use? Your own? If so, they have to be defined in advance using the Stereotypes definition. I'm not sure about this, but read about Technology Files as they are intended to include more than just a profile - like tags.
