Model Validation Issues

Hi,

I would like to get rid of my model validation warnings, but (embarrassingly) I don't know how.

1.) For actions of type "WriteVariable", validation complains about the missing child "Variable". But how to add a variable as the child of an action?

2.) I have a similar problem with state machines. Here it misses the required child element "Region". but how to add it?

Sorry if my questions are stupid, but I could not find any hint for my problems neither in EA help nor in this forum.
