cross project reference

I got multiple projects done at different times in EA. No I need to do a new project that refers to elements from other projects. How can I add reference to old projects from my new projects. I do not want to copy content from the old projects to new project!!

I'm afraid you have to. You need to XMI ex-/import whatever is needed.

In that case what happens when the original projet is updated by the owner? Won't my snapshot get out of date!!!

Yes. And because of that you should use a version controlled package.
