Using Enterprise Architect
« on: November 21, 2007, 04:49:31 am »
Hi,

I am checking this software fro using in my company.

I would like to shortly describe how do I used to work in other UML tool, I would like to ask how it can be implemented using EA.

I am designing for web applications with PHP development
I built 3 folders/packages: Model,Control, View

After I added for each folder the appropriate classes, for each use case that I had I prepared a folder to which I dragged and droped a model a controller and a gui class then I connected them.

Is that the way I should work with EA ?

Yaron

The problem with such a full blown powerful tool is knowing where to start!

A book I'd recommend "Use Case Driven Object Modeling with UML". It provides an idea of how to get to grips with UML. It will also give you an idea of how to partition your project in EA or any other UML based case tool.

Unfortunately companies frequently try to get a "cheap" solution without adequate training/mentoring.
