alternate flows vs exends use cases
« on: May 09, 2008, 06:57:18 pm »
Hi, when should one use alternate flows on a base use case, and when should you use extends use cases that extend from the base use case?
My example is an integration flow which has a normal (success) path, and then multiple alternate flows/exceptions where an error can occur.

Regards

Or search the forum for several threads regarding UML literature recommendations. This will help consolidate this kind of things and lower the number of times we all have to repeat them.

The threads are there, and the recommendations are numerous, including some discussion of strong and weak points, etc, etc...
No, you can't have it!
