Tandem SQL/MX data modeling
« on: December 13, 2008, 02:06:00 am »
Hello,

I use EA 7.1.834 and try to import the schema of an HP Tandem SQL/MX database through ODBC.
It runs almost well. I get the tables with their relations well drawn on a diagram. All the columns are there.
But in the table properties all the column data types are empty, not defined, whit the real column data types displayed in the EA notes.
I know that SQL/MX is not supported by EA but this DBMS offers full conformance to Core SQL:1999 about numeric and character data types.
We have a lot of databases and want to use EA to model them and generate structure reports. I try to solve this problem.
Is it an ODBC driver issue? Do you have an idea?
