« on: March 27, 2010, 01:45:50 am »
Hi,

Three comments:

1. Scott Ambler's advice, in his book Elements of UML 2.0 Style, is #165. Avoid Activation Boxes, and I must say I agree with him - they are visual noise and best avoided: right-click the Diagram and use the "Suppress Activations" command.

2. I'm wondering whether both diagrams are wrong and the activation on the right-hand lifeline after the first message should go down to the dotted line separating the alternatives and stop there. But I think as long as the activation continues out of the bottom of the alt fragment then it can be considered part of both alternative paths.

3. I think EA has a missing command. If you right-click a message, the Activations sub-menu really needs an "Extend Target Activation" command. Please submit a formal feature request if you agree.
