Creating Templates for the Model Wizard
« on: April 17, 2009, 01:03:21 am »
Hello!

How can I make a template that I can use in the Model Wizard or import it in another way, so that I can add a predefined package structure to an existing or new project?
I have tried with the Import/Export features at first, but they keep the same guids. I also tried with the generate MDG technology file, but that got a little bit complicated.

Thanks beforehand for your help.

regards, Nik

In the normal Import, you can select Strip GUIDs.

If you want to add your own models to the wizard, export them to XMI and then follow the instructions at http://www.sparxsystems.com/uml_tool_guide/sdk_for_enterprise_architect/model_templates2.html.

Is it possible to include this XMI file into the MDG technology file, or has the model template XMI file always to be shipped separately?
