Shapescript "hasLinkedDocument" property
« on: February 22, 2008, 06:15:47 am »
Has anyone used the "hasLinkedDocument" property to allow visual indicator for elements with linked documents in Shapescript.

I would like all shapes on all diagrams that have the "Linked Documents..." option to display a visual indicator if there is one...

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Ron,

I believe this request has been made.

That said, there might already be a way to do this. The request might have been (only) for a visual cue in the Project Browser tree.

You can always search on this to see if the request covered your problem. Go back about 2-3 months, as the request was fairly recent. If you don't see what you are looking for, you should consider a feature request to Sparx.

You might also want to check the release notes for build 825 (or 826 if it is out by the time you look) to see if this has already made it into the EA 7.1 feature list.

David,

Thanks for the response.  How do I search the release notes?   Where do I find them?

When is 7.1 due to hit or how do I get into beta test group if there is one?

Ron

No problem Ron,

The release notes are published for each build in the Latest News section of the forum. You can also find a consolidated set, buy build at http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/products/ea_history.html.

EA 7.1 is in its beta 1 release. It is available to all registered users.

You'll find the announcement of this build (825) in the Latest News section as well. Yes, there is a theme here; Sparx publishes this kind of thing in Latest News. [Hint: In the new YABB - that's the forum you are reading now - you need to navigate to the forum home page to see the Latest News section. Use either the Home button or the Sparx Systems Forum link, either of which are at the top left of any forum page.]

The URL for the EA 7.1 beta is in the announcement post. That page contains the release notes. It also has a download link as well as a special bug report page for the beta.

HTH, David

Depending on where you installed EA, you can find the release notes in C:\Program Files\Sparx Systems\EA\Readme.txt

But of course that only works if you've already installed the version you're interested in...
