Hi everyone,

unfortunately i have a small problem with Enterprise Architect 7.1.830. My Toolbox is no longer visible for me. I can see in the View Menu Dialog that it is activated, but i cannot deactivate it or either see it. Can anyone help me ? :)

Thanks alot.

Hi Stefan,

Here's a few suggestions. Try them in order to avoid unnecessary disruption.

Have you used multiple monitors at all? Sometimes a docking window gets lost when there are multiple monitors, and can turn up off the screen or below the main window after switching back to one monitor. In these cases sometimes you can find the 'missing' window by going back to multiple monitors and re-docking it, then dragging the entire EA environment to your default (single) monitor and switching back to single monitor mode.

You might also be able to find the window by changing the main EA window from maximized mode to normal, then reducing its size. If the toolbox got stuck below the main window it might show up this way.

You can reset your desktop and perhaps your menu. Do the desktop setting first. From the main menu try View | Visual Layouts. Turn off the default layout, and see if there's a difference. Turn it on again and check once more. Perhaps create a custom layout and make it the default (if it shows the toolbox).

If you must reset you menus - do this last, since there are consequences and it might not work at all - then use Tools | Customize and click the Menu tab. Click the Reset button and close the dialog. Then restart EA. NOTE: Resetting your menu will cancel any toolbar and button customizations you've created, and might reset a few other options. You'll have to reenter those. Make sure you remember your preferences so you can set them up again. [Those are the consequences I mentioned above.]

HTH, David

No, you can't have it!
