I go to Proyect/Version Control/Version Control Settings and I try to configure de SVN.
But  when I go to save, this lunch the next exception

"

In the Subversion exe path I puted "C:\Program Files\Subversion\bin\svn.exe".

Hi Walter,

I would have thought that the --xml command line argument would have been standard across all language implementations of SVN. Do you know where you downloaded the SVN client from (particularly was it from http://subversion.tigris.org/).

For the moment can you try downloading the English version of the SVN client from the above address and pointing EA's subversion exe path to that.

PS: What version of subversion are you running? There may be a possibility that the --xml commandline argument was not included in older versions of svn. I am currently running version 1.4.5 and it works correctly.

Thanks Michael for the fast answer.

The subversion server is installing y other machine.

I removed tortoise of my PC and reintall Tortoise SVN 1.4.8. After that, I tryed to configure the Version Control in "Version Control Settings".
In the place "Suvbersion exe path" I puted "c:/tortoiseSVN/bin/TortoiseProc.exe", but when I go to save the application is freezed and I' have to close Enterprise Architect.

I dont' undertand.... I need only a subversion client for example Tortoise SVN ?.... or I need something more?

Can You help me?.

thank very much,

Walter.-

PD: I'm sorry for mistake in my english. I'm from argentina.

What version and build of EA are you using Walter? That might have some effect on what's happening.
No, you can't have it!

Build? [Check the About box and you should see something like 7.1.830 (for the current build).

Bugs often get resolved in each build.

[Note that I don't have the solution, but given that this will be the last day before the weekend for Sparx - they are in Australia - if you can provide this information they have a better chance of answering before you come in to work tomorrow.]

EA doesn't work with Tortoise but needs svn.exe. This need not keep us from using Tortoise on the same client though, e.g. for creating the working copy EA needs. Or even for fiddling with controlled EA packages behind EA's back when we need to do something not supported by EA (like creating a tag or a branch in the SVN repository.

I might be way off base here, but I thought I saw some threads about this a while ago. If I'm right, some users had a bit of success when the configured everything just perfectly, then renamed the tortoise executable file.

Of course I could be thinking of something else, or just talking through my hat. Still, it might be worth a search.
