reverse engineering Oracle database
« on: September 06, 2008, 03:55:48 am »
I am trying to reverse engineer Oracle tables.  When the process gets to foreign keys, it seems to hang.  I have tried the Microsoft and oracle odbc driver and have received the same results.  Are there any know issues with foreign keys when reverse engineering an Oracle database?

There have been several posts over the past couple of weeks that suggest problems harvesting foreign keys from Oracle.

Please submit a bug report to Sparx. Use the form you get by clicking the Bug Report link under the Support link near the bottom of any forum page.

Make sure you include the version numbers (all components) of the drivers you've used, as well as the EA build information. [The bug report form will ask you about the EA stuff, but you've got to provide the rest yourself.]

Submitting the report will help Sparx isolate the problem, so that a quick correction can be issued. [Hopefully in the next EA build.]
