"composite" artifacts
« on: September 11, 2008, 04:18:44 pm »
I can't seem to make and artifact "composite".  That is, allow me to create a subordinate diagram - reachable by double-clicking the item.

Before I report a bug is there any reason why I shouldn't be able to do that?

Is there any reason why ANY item should not be able to be made "composite"?

IMHO...

1: There is no reason why you should not be able to make an artifact composite; submit the bug.

2: I have not gone through all possible classifiers, so I really don't know. Perhaps features rendered in rectangle notation - as per alternate representation on composite structure diagrams - would not be appropriate candidates, but I think EA sort of kludges these anyway. For the nonce it might be worth checking, and suggesting any to Sparx that don't obviously make good candidates.

At the very least, invite Sparx to walk through the classifier list and ensure that the default - in the absence of compelling reason to the contrary - behavior is to allow composite elements.

No, you can't have it!
