RTF Generator Filter Phase Like Wildcard Issue

The wildcard character (*) when used in the Package Phase like area of the filters in RTF Document Generator freezes the application and it closes down automatically and at times gives an error. It does not work. I am using EA 7.1.830. Is this fixed any newer realease or when is this expected to be fixed?

This is the same issue as you raised in your post yesterday, isn't it?

I'm not sure where you are getting the wildcard * from - has someone from here told you to use it?

The Where Package Phase field is actually two fields, the first of which is where you are selecting the like qualifier from. In the second field, type your phase value in quotation marks - for example, "1.1". You can enter more than one value in this field and in the With element status field - type each value in quotation marks, and separate them with a comma. For example: "1.1","1.2". (Irrelevant to you, but nevertheless true and currently not documented.)

I have updated the Help to clarify this entry format requirement.

If this does not help you, please submit a bug report (use the link at the bottom of this screen) and the Support team will help you solve the problem.

EDIT - I'm testing with a small and - obviously! - inadequate model. You don't use multiple values in the Where Package Phase field (it just ignores the subsequent ones) and you don't need to use quotation marks in that field.

I don't know if the asterisk is a valid value - the default All does some of what an asterisk might - but one of our engineers is making sure that it doesn't crash EA if entered. Please submit a bug report anyway, to get a response to your more specific problem.

FWIW, I suggest you use the Registered Users - this assumes you are currently registered - page to navigate to the bug report; follow the link near the top of the page.

If you use this version you can attach a sample project where this occurs (remember to compress the file first). This will probably be a great help to Sparx in isolating the problem.
