Adding new attribute causes an error

According to my colleague:

"Not sure how I did it, but I have gotten EA into a state where it won’t let me work on the datamodel...   The diagram that I’ve been working from since the beginning now causes the application to crash whenever I try to add a new attribute to the “BusinessEntity” class."

I opened his file and added attribute to his model without any problem, then I passed changed model to him but the problem persists - he is getting "Enterprise Architect - UML CASE Tool encountered a problem and needs to close. ..." alert and EA shuts down.

Does anybody know what we can do to fix the problem?

Is there some kind of logs to examine to figure out fault reason?
