UML Profiles and tagged values
« on: November 12, 2008, 08:10:06 pm »
Hi

I am attempting to create a stereotyped "requirement" object called "risk" and want to create tagged values for that stereotype.

On reading the Sparx guide it seemed to suggest adding attributes to the stereotype in the UML profile.  Tagged values of the same names would then be generated when you import and use the profile and stereotype a requirement object to type "risk".

But the tagged values never appear.

Also, am I right in saying I cannot import or export tagged values but can produce an rtf report with the tagged values in (so could presumably convert that to csv using another utility)?

Thanks for your help.

Regards

Pete

Importing a UML profile via the resource view is no longer supported in EA.
The prefered way to use the profile is to create a MDG technology file out of it and use this.
See the online help on how to do this.

I have noticed this, too. If you import the profile with the stereotypes via the resource dialog tagged values will not be set.

Hope this helps.

If you drop a new element from the profile, the tagged values will be created. To add the tagged values to existing elements, you will need to synchronize tagged values

And if the profile is not loaded through the resources window, but contained in an MDG technology? How do you synchronize tagged values then?

Still not possible, is it?
