importing state diagrams from rose to ea fails

Hello,

we are importing rational rose files (xml) into ea 7.1.832.
The original rose state diagrams contain signal names (transition names).

In the imported EA diagram, the signal names (transition names) are lost. Not only in the diagram, the model just does not contain them.

Does anybody know some workaround for that feature?

I already issued a bug report today.

Try again in 833. There were mentions of Rose and XMI in the release notes, but I cannot say whether it was the same issue. I do know that what you are seeing has been reported here in the forum for 832.

Hello,

there seem to be more problems when importing xmi files which contain states.

When you have nested states, the entry exit methods are defined multiple times.

For each nested level you get an aditional entry/exit method.

That means on level 2 you have to methods
On level 3 three methods, 4->4 and so on.

both bugs mentioned above from me will be fixed in one of the next builds.

So now the only big issue is whether the next few builds will come out closer to the usual pattern of 2-4 weeks, or more like the last one. Let's hope for the former. Given that there are not too many reports of 833 breaking things, it's possible the next release won't be overly delayed.
