HELP: Slow rtf editor

Hi to everyone,

I have the problem, that editing a linked document is awful slow, meaning that when I type, the letters don't appear immediately on the screen, but after a second or two they show up on the screen. When using the "back space" I can delete about one letter per second.  

This is quite annoying!!!!

Is there anyone who has a hint for me how to speed up the EA rtf editor.

Do you have the latest build of Enterprise Architect (build 833)? There were some performance tweaks added to the RTF editor in that build.

It's still slow in Build 833.

We have serveral PC, some are slow, some are very slow and some are ok. But in all cases the CPU-Usage is 40-50% ...

Hello BGA,

I've just had a look into 833 and I'm unable to reproduce the high utilisation you mention. Can you please submit a bug report with the following

- A screenshot of the screen at the time (ie what your document contents are and what toolbars you have visible)
- The specs of the PCs that the editor performs poorly under
- A list of any addins that you have running
