Pagelayout (Margin)

Hi,

it is not possible to change to margin of a template for master documents.

I have set the (left)margin in "File -> Page Layout -> Margin" to 0.70 inches for all templates i use for this document (master + virtual document template).

When i view the generated document in Word the (left)margin is always 3.17 cm (which are 1.25 inches).

Tried some different values but the margin in the generated document is always the same.
Would be great if that could be fixed or is there a workaround?

I have no idea whether this will work here, but since it helps in other EA 'template' implementations, it might be worth a try...

See if you can create a copy of the EA master document template, and give it a name (so you can refer to it later). Then try creating your RTF document with your new template. If this works, try editing the new template you've produced.

If EA does not let you edit the page settings directly you might have to open the RTF source for your template and make your changes there. You will have to find some RTF documentation. There should be something on the MS site. You should not need the most recent version. This can be important since older versions of the documentation are smaller (and easier to search). Older versions are also more likely to be available in a format that you can download and manipulate directly, versus a collection of (several hundred) Web pages.

Is there another way to edit the RTF source code except of exporting, editing with an editor (i.e notepad) and importing it back into EA Template Editor?

It is possible to edit the Page Layout and it seems to work. Values in the source code (of the template) are ok, and the margin in the editor changes after editing the values.

But after generating the document, the (left)margin is always 1.25 inches.
